Moving on

Sun May 3, 2009, 8:49 PM
This is more of just an update/blab about what i've been thinking about journal, so here goes.

Firstly, i've been working on a project for the GoodvsEvil Wacom contest. Its kind of been in two parts, and its not as polished as i would like it so far, but its not done yet. I've probably put Over 10 hours into it so far. One part is in photoshop, the other in illustrator.

As for real life, its getting busier as high school draws near the fading edges of its life. Four to five more weeks, its not long. Plus, i've got the AP calculus Exam this wednesday morning. 4 hours of straight up calculus. Practically like an ACT, but pure math. Then i'll probably give blood thursday. I don't even know what Blood type I am, but while trying to see if i could learn anything more about it I stumbled on the fact that to Japanese it's like astrological symbols practically. If I ever go there i'll have to find it out so i don't have to freak out a ton of people.

I've been itching to get out and take pictures of things other than nature. I'd like to go downtown in Denver for an afternoon and see what i could get.

Meanwhile, the rain has been coming down. It usually doesn't rain here much, but we've probably gotten an inch or two over the past few days. I love the sound of rain on the roof. Helps me sleep at night.

I'm ready for high school to end. It's just time. There's never been much of an issue of me and school, and most of the time i try to enjoy it, because it just sucks to sit there and make yourself miserable in there when you know you've got to be there. Plus, i'll be going into higher education. I've got to put up with it for years to come.

I tried out the Dawn of War 2 and Bioshock demos. They're both quite awesome. Bioshock sets an amazing atmosphere, and I consider it quite a piece of art. I can already sense it becomes very repetitive though. I'm too used to my flashlight in Left 4 Dead and Counterstrike. As for Dawn of War 2, i was impressed with the length of the demo. I've seen far too many demos that are too short, too boring, and don't let you do much. DoW2 lets you get enough to get hooked, and i'd like to buy it sometime now. I thought it was going to be way too much like Starcraft, but its good anyways. They bring together the plotline a lot better than other games do, since they practically make you see stuff, but its not bad. They let you do stuff while you're listening to the briefings, which is quite good. I like the cover/level RPG elements that are brought into it. Oh, and the Bioshock demo was too short, on top of that you needed to be able to experiment with more powers.

My WoW subscription is over... so no more of my Blood Elf Mage for a while. I love that class. Oh, and if you're interested in playing sometime, i'm on Durotan mainly.

I need to watch some anime episodes that have piled up on my computer, but they just move so slow. I can't bear to watch D.gray-man anymore.

I discovered RAW on my camera, and combining it with RAW+ which takes the RAW and makes a 2MP file of each on my card is really nice. I think i got around 1510 pictures between my two batteries, so about 755 per battery. I think that's good. I've got some more that i need to upload, and some flower macro shots that i attempted. I would also like to get a remote for it, which is surprisingly cheap at 20$. Usually for little accessories they want 30-40 bucks. Also, i want the dA messenger bag.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts that have been bouncing around all weekend.
